For this year's event, we are seeking volunteers for the following different types of roles:

Hobby Information Booth: The Hobby Information Booth (or the Hands-on Hobby Booth) is located in a tent near the Covered Arena at the Horse Park. Volunteers are asked to demonstrate something hobby-related of their choosing using their own supplies. We are seeking tack makers, customizers, air brushers, or etchers. You will also be asked to provide a handout relating to your demonstration to be given to visitors at the booth. Volunteers in these positions should feel comfortable demonstrating their skills to the public, as well as answering questions from guests.

Photo Finish Diorama Contest: Volunteers for the Photo Finish Diorama Contest will be responsible for signing in entries for the contest and watching over entries while on display in the Visitor Information Center. Judging will take place on Friday after BreyerFest closes and you will be asked to return to booth on Saturday and Sunday to assist with distributing entries back to owners.

Craft and Activity Center: Volunteers for the Craft and Activity Center will work with children and adults in the craft tent at the Horse Park and assist with various craft projects, including Stablemate painting.

Swap Meet/Artisan's Gallery: Volunteers for the Swap Meet and Artisans' Gallery will be positioned in various locations in the Clarion Hotel and will ensure that the people waiting in line to enter the Swap Meet and Artisan's Gallery are kept in an orderly fashion. Volunteers here will also be responsible for ensuring that exhibit rooms are not overcrowded and entrance and exit doors are monitored.

BreyerFest Ambassadors: Volunteers for BreyerFest Ambassador positions will be stationed at various areas around the park, as well as on BreyerFest shuttle buses, which operate all day. A portion of these volunteers will be outside in a tent next to the Covered arena and will assist guests with Single Day Stablemates Model handout, lost and found items, contact EMS, answer general Breyer and BreyerFest questions, provide directions to event locations, and handle or delegate other requests as they occur. Other volunteers will captain the BreyerFest shuttles, ensuring guests are ticketed and getting guests to the correct bus stops. A third segment of volunteers will roam the park as docents, answering guest questions as needed. Applicants for these positions must have prior BreyerFest experience, be people-friendly, and have good knowledge about BreyerFest operations such as model handout, shows, workshops, and special runs. Volunteers with familiarity of the KHP and local attractions in the Lexington and surrounding areas are given extra consideration

Workshop/Seminar Assistant: Volunteers for the Workshops and Seminars will be stationed in either the International Museum of the Horse on the lower level or in the Visitor Information Center, where workshops and seminars are held. Each volunteer will assist the instructor with various tasks including set-up, break down and clean up, direct participants and instructors to workshop locations, record attendance for each workshop or seminar, and perform other duties as asked.

BreyerFest Volunteers receive a limited edition BreyerFest Volunteer model and our utmost gratitude in exchange for spending three fun-filled days with us! Models are distributed on Sunday afternoon following closing ceremonies.
