Meet Sprinkles, the newest model to be added to our exclusive Special Run line-up.  Remember, Special Run models are only available to three-day ticket holders at BreyerFest.

At this year’s BreyerFest Birthday Bash, one of our guest horses will be Kuchi, a Gypsy Vanner mare whose birthday has historic significance for the breed.  She is the first Gypsy Vanner to be born in the United States!  Her 10^th birthday is coming up on March 18, so here at Breyer we thought it might be nice to send her a little surprise - birthday cards from all of her fans - but you have to keep it a secret!

Kuchi is owned by Bill and Wendy Ricci of WR Ranch.  She is the only offspring of the famous mare Bat, who was one of the first two Vanners imported to North America.  Kuchi’s sire, The Gypsy King, was the second Vanner stallion to ever be imported to America.  He, too, was immortalized as a Breyer model.  When Kuchi was born on March 18, 1999, her owners searched for the “perfect name” for America’s first Vanner baby,  Kuchi is the name of a Gypsy tribe famous for their appreciation of color, things that are structurally correct and the dance, the Hoochi Kuchi.  Just like her namesake, Kuchi is colorful, structurally correct and like her famous father, she often dances when she walks!

Create a birthday card for Kuchi’s 10^th birthday using any medium you’d like (paint, markers, colored pencils, crayons, etc) and you could win a glossy portrait model of the beautiful mare! Cards will be judged on creativity, use of color, and imagination. Cards must be received no later than 11:59pm on March 1^st, 2009 and the Grand Prize Winner will be announced on Kuchi’s birthday!  Read the full set of rules below for more information on the contest.  We will package the cards and send them out in time to reach Kuchi in time for her birthday!

HOW TO ENTER:
1. Create a birthday card for Kuchi using any medium you’d like.
2. Include your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address on a separate 4″x6″index card with your submission.
3. Submit your entry by mail to Kuchi c/o Breyer Model Horses, 14 Industrial Rd, Pequannock, NJ 07440 by March 1, 2009 at 11:59 PM ET. Entries must be received by mail in order to be accepted.

By submitting an entry, you agree to be bound by the following contest rules.

OFFICIAL RULES
1. Contest begins February 11, 2009 and ends March 1, 2009. All entries must be received via mail at Kuchi c/o Breyer Model Horses, 14 Industrial Rd, Pequannock NJ 07440 no later than March 1, 2009 at 11:59 PM ET. No other method of entry will be accepted.
2. The contest is open to legal U.S. residents of all ages. Employees and immediate relatives of Breyer Animal Creations, a division of Reeves International, are not eligible to enter.

3. All entries must be original and entirely created by the entrant. There are no restrictions on what an entrant can use to create the card.
4. Limit one winner or runner-up per household.
5. Your entry must include a 4″x6″ index card with your name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address in addition to your Kuchi Birthday Card submission. Any entries missing the above requirements will be immediately disqualified. All entries must be submitted in English.
6. Some card submissions may be posted on the BreyerFest blog (www.breyerhorses.com/blog) during the contest period. This does not guarantee that they are or will be the Grand Prize Winner.
7. All entries become the property of Breyer Animal Creations® (”Sponsor”) and may be used or reproduced without additional consent or compensation, and will not be acknowledged or returned. Breyer Animal Creations® and Reeves International, Inc. are not responsible for lost, late, illegible, incomplete or misdirected entries.
8. One Grand Prize will be awarded.  The Grand Prize Winner will be listed on the Breyer website (www.BreyerHorses.com) on March 18, 2009. Total estimated value of Grand Prize is $250.00.  Sponsor may substitute prize of equal or greater value. Winner will be responsible for any taxes on prize.
9. Conditions of Entry: By participating in this contest, the prospective Grand Prize Winner, or Grand Prize Winner’s parent or legal guardian (if Grand Prize Winner is under age 18), shall be obligated to execute a license, release and waiver (Release Agreement) in the form specified by Breyer Animal Creations® in its sole discretion. The Release Agreement will authorize Breyer Animal Creations® to use the name and likeness of the prospective Grand Prize Winner and the prospective Grand Prize Winner’s Birthday card, without compensation other than the Contest Prize. The prospective Grand Prize Winner, or Grand Prize Winner’s parent or legal guardian (if Grand Prize Winner is under age 18) will be obligated to sign and return the Release Agreement within ten (10) days following notification that the Grand Prize Winner has won. Failure to comply will result in disqualification and selection of another Grand Prize Winner.
10. By participating, the entrant releases the Sponsor from all liabilities with respect to this contest.
11. Entries will be judged by Breyer’s Marketing team. Each entry will be judged on equal parts creativity, use of color, and imagination. The Grand Prize Winner will be decided by the judges in their sole discretion. The decision of the judges will be final and binding in all respects.
12. No purchase necessary to enter or to win. A purchase will not increase your odds of winning. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

14. For a copy of these Official Rules or the name of the Winner, send a stamped, self-addressed envelope to the Breyer Animal Creations, at the above address, including your request.

Here in New Jersey it’s snowing outside, so we’re inside dreaming of July and everything it has to offer - flip flops, sunshine and BreyerFest! It’s hard to believe that we are already celebrating BreyerFest’s 20^th birthday.  What started as just a small crowd of Breyer collectors has rapidly grown into a tremendous three-day celebration.

This year’s celebration will truly be a party, with performances by Stacy Westfall’s Roxy and Tommie Turvey’s Pokerjoe!   And what’s a birthday party without a petting zoo?! We can’t wait to share the gift of the horse with you and celebrate twenty amazing years of good friends, good times and even better Breyer models.
