Elegance

The majesty, the power and the breathtaking beauty of the horse, captured in bronze as only the equine experts at Breyer can, is being offered to discerning collectors at BreyerFest this week!

There are five different equine sculptures and one bovine sculpture in this rare and very limited edition group, all cast in bronze using the lost wax process  making each of these exquisite pieces true heirloom quality. The lost wax process dates back thousands of years, and pieces cast in this manner can be expected, like those of an earlier millennium, to stand the test of time. To learn more about the art of lost wax casting visit http://www.artworksfoundry.com/process/.

Displayed on either a wood or marble base, these six pieces are offered in bronze, black or a verdigris finish. Five of the pieces portray the splendor of the horse in a variety of perspectives. The sixth is a spectacular sculpture of the famed Texas Longhorn. And, even though they are all very limited editions, Breyer has not made the full allotment of each edition, making these pieces even rarer!

1.       Wild and Free, first offered as a limited edition at the prestigious Scottsdale Arabian Show, is on the Silver mold and is sculpted by Kathleen Moody. This gorgeous work of art, portraying the wild spirit and beauty of the horse, was designed to be a limited run of 500 pieces, but we are offering only 9.

2.       Huckleberry Bey, one of the most popular Breyer molds of all time, was also sculpted by Moody and also first offered in bronze at the Scottsdale Arabian show. A very limited number of this breathtaking sculpture, portraying the beauty and spirit of the Arabian horse, is available.

3.       What better gift is there than the precious gift of new life? The Gift portrays a tender moment between a mare and her newborn foal. This exquisite rendering is part of an edition limited to 250 pieces, but we have only ten available.

4.       Gentle Giant, a beloved drafter, shows both his gentle temperament and his mighty physique in this beautiful bronze sculpture. Only 10 of this limited run of 50 were produced.

5.       Elegance, the last of the equine grouping, is a stunning bronze portrayal of a horse in Arabian or Bedoun costume. Only 10 of a limited run of 100 have been made.

6.       Texas Legend is a strikingly handsome Texas Longhorn bull, first offered at the Scottsdale Arabian Show. This classic sculpture by Christian Hess, is from a limited run of 40 with only 10 created. Of the ten, one is available with polished gold horns.
