To craft these beautiful and unique horsehair memory pots, Ida blends many layers of horse hair and multiple firings to make a keepsake that will last a lifetime. She finishes every piece with several coats of paste wax to protect the pot and give it more sheen, leaving the pot looking outstanding. Sounds complicated, but Ida has perfected every step to ensure an extraordinary result.  As Ida writes, “One of my wheel thrown pots, 40 to 70 of your horse’s tail hairs, and you have a unique, one of-a-kind memory pot of your horse.”
