As a rider, teacher, judge and coach, George Morris is synonymous with the American forward-seat riding style. At 14, he was the youngest rider ever to win both the ASPCA Maclay Horsemanship and AHSA Hunt Seat Equitation Medal Finals. He rode on eight Nations Cup teams and the Gold Medal Pan American Games squad before, at age 22, joining the 1960 US Olympic Silver medal team in Rome. With George serving as chef d'equipe (2005-2013), America earned Individual and Team Silver Medals at the 2006 World Equestrian Games and Team Gold at the 2008 Olympics. Considered the greatest teacher of the American style since its founder and Morris mentor Gordon Wright, Olympic podiums in 1984, 1992, 1996 and 2004 have been graced by George Morris' students. His legendary exactitude, work ethic and commitment are the modern blueprint to becoming a top horseman and rider.

Breyer,® in cooperation with the Chronicle Support Network, honors legendary rider, instructor and coach George H. Morris with a fully articulated rider figure, complete with his words of wisdom! Press the button on the figure's shoulder and you will hear some of George's most important and oft-repeated quotes such as "Do as little as possible, but as much as necessary," and "Love means attention, which means looking after the things we love. We call this stable management," and "Every second, you are either schooling or un-schooling your horse. There's no in-between."  A portion of the profits of this 8" tall limited edition collectible figure will go to the Chronicle Support Network. The Chronicle Support Network was created to identify, honor, and support U.S. based equestrian oriented charitable organizations (501c3) that use the power of the horse to serve their communities.
