I mean I've never tried glue dots on my models--I use glue dots all the time for craft projects!! :)

Actually, I take back what I said---what if the glue dot sticks to your model? It could pull paint off!!! Actually, IDK really--I've never tried glue dots, and I don't know if I will. :)

I don't show performance, so I've never had any need for sticky wax, but I do use Glue Dots on one of my models. She came with one of those blue ribbon stickers, but it kept falling off. So I keep it in a plastic bag along with a sheet full of glue dots and use those to stick it back on when it's time for her to show. I take the glue dots off when I pack her back up to take her home. They're easy to get on/off and don't seem to damage the paint or leave any nasty residue.

Thanks! I don't usually show a horse in both (the classes almost always overlap), but I never like to pack them with the sticky wax.

Well, for horses that cross enter into both halter and performance, it will usually come off by wiping it with your finger. If there is a residue though, i find some water. When i get home, i clean them thoroughly. It works well enough. Just be sure there isn't any left on the model when it is in the halter class, or it will have points deducted.

It will wash off with warm water. Take a wet rab, and wipe it off.

How do you safely remove sticky wax from your models?
