Meet some of the people who help keep Reeves International and each of its various brands and departments running smoothly:
Anthony Fleischmann, President
A New Jersey native with dual U.S. and Swiss citizenship, Tony was raised in Kinnelon, New Jersey and graduated from Montclair Academy and Princeton University (P’78). After college, he completed his military service in the Swiss Army before becoming a commercial airline pilot for SwissAir based in Zurich. Tony returned to the U.S. intending to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Although he was accepted at Tufts University’s Veterinary College, he deferred when his father, Werner Fleischmann, founder of Reeves International, persuaded him to join the company to assist with the 1984 acquisition of Breyer® Animal Creations®. In the ensuing years, as Reeves International transitioned its business model from that of a distributor of high-end European toys and collectibles to a manufacturer and marketer of proprietary, upmarket brands, Tony’s responsibilities expanded rapidly. In 1998, he purchased the company outright from his family.
Tony loves animals and the outdoors. His interests include animal welfare, animal-assisted therapeutic charities, and children’s education and welfare. Hobbies include running, kayaking, wilderness trekking and packing, horseback riding and aerobatic aviation.
Ed Dean, National Sales Manager of Reeves International has more than 27 years of management experience in the toy industry. Dean joined Reeves International in 1997 as Sales Manager and was promoted to National Sales Manager in 2002. Dean’s responsibilities include management of the National Sales Force of Manufacturing Representative for the Specialty Market and all trade shows, forecasting, sales programs, policies and procedures, development of selling and marketing strategies. Prior to joining Reeves, Dean managed national field sales organizations of regional mass market and specialty manufacturers’ representatives for Play-Tech and Playmobile, USA. Before entering the toy industry, Ed managed the field sales organization for Johnson & Johnson Baby Products, where he also developed the annual selling strategy for direct accounts and manufacturers representatives’ accounts. Dean has a B.S. in Business Administration from New York State University College of Oswego.
Kathleen Fallon, Vice President of Marketing Communications, has been with Reeves International since July 2000. Prior to that, she was Director of Communications for Families For Kids, a Kellogg Foundation grant project that developed new methods of expediting adoption for foster children within NYC’s Administration for Children’s Services. There she helped to launch the NYC Wednesday’s Child Program with NBC and the Freddie Mac Foundation, NYC Adoption Fair sponsored by Wendy’s, the NYC Family Album and website www.nycadopt.gov. Fallon is a lifelong equestrian and was the Director of Marketing at the U.S. Equestrian Federation for five years, where she was responsible for revenue generation (sponsorships, advertising and fundraising) and communications (Equestrian Magazine and public relations). She has also worked for WinEvents Marketing (automotive and equestrian event marketing), IBM, and in regional theater. Fallon has an M.S. from New School University (NY), and a B.A. from Kenyon College (OH).
Stephanie Macejko, Vice President of Marketing, began her career in public relations at the U.S. Equestrian Federation, the national governing body and Olympic NGB for equestrian sports. Macejko joined Reeves International in 1993 to edit Just About Horses® magazine. In 1994, she added Event Manager to her responsibilities and was promoted to Marketing Manager in 1997 where she oversaw the entire marketing communications area. In 1998, Macejko became involved in product development and took on increasing responsibility for the Breyer® brand. In 2000, she was promoted again and added Director of Product Development to her responsibilities. Today, she is responsibile for Breyer's marquee product line, Breyer Traditional®, as Breyer's Vice President of Marketing. Macejko has a B.S. in Equine Science and Marketing from Centennary College (NJ) and is an enthusiastic equestrian.
Kathleen Mastracche, Procurement Director, has been with Reeves International since 1996. Mastracche began her career in banking at Mid-Atlantic Bank, where she traded, purchased, and sold foreign currency. From there, she moved into the customer service field, first at Dolan & Traynor, Inc. and then, in 1996, at Reeves International where she headed the Customer Service Department for four years. In 2001, Mastracche moved into purchasing and rose swiftly to head the Procurement Department. In 2002, the Procurement Department took over both domestic and international sourcing. Today, traveling regularly to Hong Kong and Mainland China, Mastracche manages a $3+ million inventory, sets production schedules, oversees logistics, and contracts vendors and suppliers.
Arthur Minnocci, Chief Financial Officer for Reeves International, is responsible for financial and operational management including treasury functions, budgets, and financial statements. Minnocci also supervises general accounting, human resources, distribution, information systems, and the customer service departments. He joined Reeves in 1995 and served as controller until 2003, when he was promoted. Arthur came to Reeves from financial and accounting management positions at companies as diverse as Pantasote Polymers, Inc., Pantasote Inc., ADT Security Systems, and Panasonic Company. Arthur received his M.B.A. from Fairleigh Dickinson University in finance and taxation and his B.A. from William Patterson University in accounting.
