2016 Breyer Live Show Benefit Program Information

Live Show Benefit Programs Served 44 Shows in 2015!

One of the most fun ways to enjoy collecting model horses is getting involved in model horse showing. Whether you like halter or performance showing, nothing beats spending the day with people who love model horses as much as you do!
But for newbies, the world of model horse showing can seem complicated, if not downright incomprehensible! Many Breyer fans would do it but they just aren't sure how to get started! That's one of the reasons that Breyer is proud to support model horse showing through the Live Benefit Model Horse Show program.

By offering shows and showers an incentive, Breyer hopes that many more Breyer fans will be tempted to give live model horse showing a try! It's fun, collegial and competitive, and a great way to learn more about models and the real horse world at the same time!

In its inaugural year, 34 shows participated in the program and 22 shows offered Kids divisions. The second year saw 40 shows added (with 27 shows offering Kids divisions) for a total of 74 shows with 49 Kids divisions over two years In 2015, the third year of the program, 44 shows were offered (with 31 Kids divisions) bringing the grand total to 118 shows offered with 80 Kids divisions!

Overall, Breyer has been very pleased and grateful to all the hard-working show managers who have supported the program. We understand that shows have had increased entries, new showers and that it has helped to revitalize interest in live model showing!

Breyer will again offer the Live Show Benefit Program in 2016 under the able guidance of Silke Brockmoeller. Silke is a highly experienced model horse show manager and judge, whom many will recognize from her years with the BreyerFest Live Show. Silke can be reached at: sbrockmo@yahoo.com. We hope that showers will continue to support these shows and that people who have been looking to learn more about model showing will try it in 2016!

The basic format of the program will remain the same and the 2016 rules can be found on the website. One slight change will be that the age limit for "kids" has been raised from 12 to 14 years of age. Another change allows for a quarterly review of applications. For more details, please read the rules in their entirety.
