A BreyerFest First!
As we gear up to host the first-ever hybrid BreyerFest experience, we have big plans to bring fans an incredible weekend, whether they are joining us in person or online.
We’ve already mentioned that for our celebration of BreyerFest: Prost! all ticket holders will have access to the stunning Limited Edition models, and that here at HQ we love surprises! For today’s reveal, we are excited to show fans one of those surprises!
This stunning light chestnut Rhenish Draft will be included as one of this year’s BreyerFest Limited Edition models, but will only be available for purchase online. He will not be available in person at the event, but will be available for all ticket holders to purchase on BreyerHorses.com during BreyerFest weekend and will be shipped to all buyers, whether you’re joining us in-person or online.
Though not a portrait horse, this handsome Rhenish German Draft is inspired by the beautiful horses at the North Rhine-Westphalia State Stud in Warendorf, Germany. You can learn more about the work of the State Stud and these beautiful horses here.
Events team member Alyssa had the opportunity to spend a few weeks at the North Rhine-Westphalia State Stud of Warendorf a few years ago through her college. This is one of many German studs that are working to preserve the rare Rhenish German Draft, housing 25 draft stallions that are an important part of their breeding program.
While there, she rode with the trainers of the stud and learned about their top-of-the-line breeding program. Alyssa was able to spend some time with these beautiful drafts and learn about their important role in preserving the breed. While they are mainly used for breeding, these talented drafts serve as ambassadors and are trained to drive and be ridden under saddle. They showcase their many talents at breed shows and at the stud's well-attended "Symphony of the Stallions."
Don’t stray far! We’ve got more model reveals coming your way soon!
