We are pleased to announce that the Best Customs Contest is returning to BreyerFest next summer!

This incredible contest showcases the best of the best in model horse creativity, finish work, sculpture, and performance creations.  Open to VIP Access and All-Access ticket holders who will be joining us in-person at BreyerFest, entrants are welcome to enter one of the five divisions – Excellence in Finish Work, Fantasy, Most Extreme Custom, Performance Excellence, or this year’s Theme Class – Dress to Impress, which is a special division exclusively for model horse tack makers!

Please be sure to read the complete rules and information here before you get started on your entry,  but we wanted to outline some important points to remember –

• This contest is open to in-person VIP and All-Access ticket holders only. Winners will be announced and prizes awarded in-person during BreyerFest weekend July 14-16, 2023 at approximately 9 pm EDT on Saturday July 15, 2023 at the Clarion Hotel in Lexington, Kentucky.
• A Breyer Model must be used in all entries, even as the mannequin model for the Theme Class.
• Customs must fit within 24” x 24” or 18” x 30” footprint on a table, no exceptions, and you must include the dimensions of your entry’s footprint with your email submission.
• One of the pictures emailed MUST be an in-progress shot that shows the underlying or original model used or your in-progress tack, if you are entering the Theme Class.
• All entrants must email the photos of their finished entry by June 9 at 5 pm EDT in order to be judged.
• Entrants may not do any additional work on their entries once their photos have been emailed to Breyer.

Five first place winners, one from each division, will receive a rosette and a Special Edition BreyerFest Best Customs Traditional scale model “Kansas.”  Five second and five third place winners, one from each division, will receive a rosette and a Special Edition BreyerFest Best Customs Stablemates scale model “Willamette.” These models will be revealed to fans at a later date!
