It’s already March and spring is starting to, well… spring! We talked about this year’s Gaelic Gallop 5K back in January, but now that it’s starting to warm up, getting outside to train for the 5K seems a lot more appealing!
As we mentioned, the 5K is just for fun and even includes a 1-mile walk/fun run, if you aren’t into doing the whole course. For our runners that can’t make it to Kentucky there is a virtual 5K option, too! All runners, whether virtual or at BreyerFest, will receive a fun finisher’s medal and t-shirt (see registration page for details) and top prizes from Breyer will be awarded in each age group and for our overall winners who participate at BreyerFest. And, even if you don’t run it at BreyerFest, we still encourage ALL participants to run this race in a kilt! How fun!
The Gaelic Gallop kicks off at 8 am on Sunday morning, July 12th, and you will be finished in plenty of time to enjoy the rest of the day at BreyerFest! Participants will be greeted at the starting line by fan favorite, Lil’ Ricky Rocker!
A portion of each participant’s registration is donated to Old Friends, an amazing equine charity located right near the Kentucky Horse Park, in Georgetown, KY. The more runners we have, the greater the donation!
