Tanya Herrmann
Tanya was born into the world-renowned family of Herrmann’s Royal Lipizzaner Stallions. Growing up, she toured all of North America and started presenting the stallions when she was only 12 years old, jumping her first capriole at 13 under the saddle. She changed courses and learned the very difficult skill of bareback riding (aka vaulting). For the next twelve years she toured with many circuses doing various acts such as foot juggling, riding elephants, the globe of death and many more tricks and stunts. Through a sale of one of her horses, she discovered the love of dressage. Since finding a great dressage trainer and learning the deeper meaning of being one with her horse she has competed all the way to the FEI level and achieved as high as a silver medal. Along the way she has worked at Arabian Nights, done liberty acts, and competed in and achieved grand champion in many pleasure driving competitions. She also made it as far as the USDF nationals with her Friesian stallion, Rienik.

She is most known for her unique style of Roman riding bareback and barefoot atop very fast horses! She went on to become the featured Roman rider at Dolly Parton’s Stampede for 13 years before moving to her hometown of St. Peter, Illinois and hitting the rodeo road full time! She now performs at rodeos all over America with her husband Justin, who is also a trick rider, and their son and daughter. Justin has grown up with horses and got into trick riding by accident when he got cast into a show.
