Long-time hobbyist and instructor Didi Hornberger will take participants on a fun, fantasy adventure in this workshop, which will be held on Saturday, July 11th at 10 am in the Workshops Tent.
Participants will construct a whimsical mask for a Traditional scale model, which will be provided to participants, as well as a beautiful flower garland for their model. Some simple hand sewing of pieces will be required, but this workshop is perfect for all skill levels.
Didi has been instructing BreyerFest guests for many years and has an incredible talent for making detailed tack and beautiful costumes. Her workshop is sold out for this year, but not to worry – there are still some amazing workshops available here.
The Irish Faery Horse resides in the forests of the Emerald Isle, where it cannot be seen. Folklore has it that occasionally, he – or she – will occasionally make an appearance at an Irish Folk Festival and may appear as any type of horse (and can change its color at will).
Legend has it that those who would greet the Faery Horse with a gently-cupped palm beneath its muzzle will be blessed with good fortune for a year.
Greet all horses with kindness and a good heart, and a Faery Horse will know you by your intentions, and it will breathe good fortune softly into your palm.
