For this year’s celebration of Horse of a Different Color, we were excited to be able to offer VIP and All-Access ticket holders the chance to participate in some fun raffles! For this year’s Friday Raffle, we sent the very handsome Muybridge home to 25 lucky winners!
Eadweard Muybridge was an English photographer known for his pioneering work in photographic studies of motion and early work in motion picture projection. One of his well-known works, The Horse in Motion, created a reliable and accurate depiction of a horse running. Artists could now properly draw horses in realistic gaits thanks to his work.
Our Muybridge for this year’s BreyerFest Friday raffle pays homage to Muybridge’s Horse in Motion. Done on the Icelandic (mold # 729), sculpted by Kathleen Moody, this handsome boy has been done as a beautiful silver black splash with blue eyes. This model does not have a belly stamp, but does have a Certificate of Authenticity.
