All tickets for in-person BreyerFest, being hosted in Kentucky, go on sale mid-week next week, but in the meantime, we’ve got some long-awaited news for fans about how Special Runs will work in 2022. For an in-depth review of what’s included with each ticket type, you can read more in this detailed post. The TL/DR version of that post is: Special Run models are only available to VIP and All-Access ticket holders that will be joining us in person in Kentucky and must be picked up at the event. General Admission, Online Traditional Access, and Online Stablemates Access tickets do not have the ability to purchase Special Run models.
If you’re new to Breyer or BreyerFest, Special Run models are stunning representations of Breyer’s artistry and are exclusive to attendees of the event. You can see all of this year’s lineup here. These beautiful models represent an array of colors and breeds, including fantasy colors and a non-equine animal option - with so many fun options there is sure to be something for everyone!
If you joined us for BreyerFest in 2021, then the process for purchasing your Special Run models will all be very familiar to you. However, if you’re a veteran fan who previously joined us in-person in 2019 or before, we’ve got some big changes that we know will make your BreyerFest experience a more streamlined and enjoyable one! If you’re brand new to BreyerFest, not to worry – the process for purchasing these models is fairly simple and is outlined below.
Fans interested in purchasing VIP tickets will be able to do so and will immediately purchase their two Special Run and two Limited Edition models* all in one transaction. (Special Run and Limited Edition model selection will happen at the same time as your ticket purchase and is at an additional cost to the ticket price.) This selection is guaranteed and VIP guests must pick up their models on site at BreyerFest (models will not be shipped to VIP ticket holders). VIP tickets will be sold first-come, first-served and be limited to one per account. We definitely recommend that if you’re new to BreyerFest and interested in purchasing VIP tickets, you take a look at the Exclusive Models page and make a note of your favorites before tickets go on sale.
If you’ve been to BreyerFest before, or heard about past experiences from guests who have attended BreyerFest in the past – there are no longer hourly Special Run timeslots. We are sticking with the process from 2021!
Guests who purchase All-Access tickets,who purchase their tickets on or before May 22, will be able to reserve their Special run models in advance of BreyerFest, for purchase and pick up on-site. After May 22, 2022 (we will let fans know the exact date via email, blog and social media posts), All-Access ticket holders will submit preference forms where they rank the Special Run models in order of their preference, via a form on BreyerHorses.com. Models will be assigned to ticket holders based on availability and preferences and All-Access ticket holders will have the opportunity to purchase these models in during BreyerFest weekend, on-site using the reservation tickets included in their ticket books.
All-Access ticket holders are not required to purchase any (or all) of the models that have been assigned to them, but the assigned models are the only options that are available for you to purchase. (Model swaps through Breyer Customer Service will not be accommodated.) All-Access ticket holders can purchase their Special Run models on site during BreyerFest.Reservation tickets will be included in ticket books that are mailed in advance.
During BreyerFest weekend, present your Special Run model reservation tickets at the BreyerFest Model Handout tent to receive your Special Run models – it’s as easy as that! Not a fan of the options selected for you? Trade your reservation ticket with someone else at BreyerFest for the model you’ve got your heart set on, then pay for that model!

**International fans please note- International orders will not be mailed. All ticket books ordered by fans joining us from outside of the United States must be picked up at Will Call.
In summary - In 2022, ALL BreyerFest Special Run models will be pick-up only on site with model reservation tickets. There will no longer be a timed-by-hour Special Run line at BreyerFest and you will not be able to receive Special Run models without a reservation ticket. So, if you’ve got multiple tickets for several Special Run models, simply bring all your reservation tickets to the Model Handout tent any time during BreyerFest weekend to receive all your models at once – no more waiting in lines for hours! Then, enjoy the rest of BreyerFest!

I know that a lot of events that are in the same area as the Ky Horsepark, have a rule that the visitors have to show proof of vaccine before being admitted. Will Breyerfest be enforcing this rule? I know that at this time visitors, age 6 and up are required to wear a mask indoors at the park, regardless of vaccine status. Excited for my first time at Breyerfest!!

I believe there is a missing step in regards to the all-access ticket. I assume once we send our list of choices, you will then be sorting it out and contacting me what I can purchase. It would be nice to have a time frame for such to be posted: IE: “April 1st to 15th is the time you can send out your choices. Breyer will start contacting you May 1st and on about what 2 models are available to purchase and at that time is when you will pay for them. You will have until May 30th to complete your order” Please consider letting us know what sort of time frame is to be expected.

Why can’t the all access tickets mailed with the rest? It’s always been like that for the past 20 something years. Plus you’d be eliminating another crowded line & chaos. Remember also social distancing.

YES! Thank you, Breyer, for listening to my input on past BF surveys. This will be a big improvement! I don’t love the required Will Call pickup just for the SR tickets if you don’t want to spend the extra for a VIP ticket, but otherwise, it sounds great. :)

SO HAPPY THAT THE PANDEMIC IS OVER BUT VERY SAD THAT I AM BACK TO MISSING OUT. I LOOK AT THE SPECIAL RUN MODELS AND KNOW IN ORDER FOR ME TO HAVE THEM I HAVE TO PAY MORE. WHICH MEANS I WILL PROBABLY MISS OUT. THOSE OF YOU WHO CAN GO – YOU ARE BLESSED.

Quick question. You say no more waiting in line for SR. But won’t there be lines for the different places to puck up your celebration horse, your SR horses and your limited edition (pop up tent) horses?

I am definitely going to be watching for answers to several questions I have read posted here as they are the same as mine: where is the will call tent, can a person pick up VIP models for someone else, will we have to pay to park on thursday while picking up books and how do all-access ticket holders prepay for models if we do not know which ones will be selected for us? Unless Breyer emails us to give us a heads-up beforehand. One comment is that I am hoping Breyer has a means to handle a lot of people picking up models at the same time at the redemption tent; otherwise, we will still be standing in long hot lines. But I have to say all in all that this new idea for handling tickets and models sounds great. I am sure there will be some kinks that have to be worked out; but, so far, great! Maybe this time I can actually spend time watching the show in the arena rather than standing in lines.

No one will ever be completely happy with any solutions. I think Breyer has done a phenomenal job at trying to walk a tight rope here and I say huge Well Done!!! I think this gives a vast majority an opportunity to get the models they really want. And, like last year, sell or trade for the ones they are still seeking. It clears up the long lines and waiting in the heat, which after 2 years of isolation, would probably wear worse on some people than previous years. People will always complain. Myself? It’s not perfect. But little is. Be happy we actually get to GO LIVE this year! Say thanks for the effort the Breyer staff will be making to make this hybrid-event the most awesome yet!!!

I don’t like some of these things, but I like that things are being considered with crowds. But I’m really concerned at the long lines there will be with the pick up lines and Will Call lines, which I feel defeats the purpose of trying to minimize where people will be. As an immuno compromised person, I really need to be careful with the crowds, and I don’t want to put myself or have others like myself (that might also be high risk) in jeopardy. May we please get a blog post about how all of the amazing staff are going to handle things like crowds and crowd control to keep everyone safe, especially when things still may be so uncertain with the pandemic? It would definitely put myself and others at ease. I would b be really sad if I had to miss out because things didn’t feel safe. (thank you!)

So , since you are recommending a trade of redemption tickets, it sounds like the Second Ticket Book we receive will tell us which specific SR models we have been assigned ? I know I can be dense, but you might want to state that more clearly. And hooray for no waiting lines for SRs :)

Well, this will be interesting. Kinda nice to not have to wait in line, but I really would rather see the models in person before buying them. I’m still going — no doubt about that — but this is going to be a weird year. No more of the old BreyerFests. I wonder how it will all pan out? I’ll probably have to bring more money so I can get the models I change my mind on.

This is actually really awesome! I had a hunch that this would be used and I had guessed correctly. This will definitely make actually getting to experience BreyerFest a lot more fun, but there are so many memories about the lines. I still have so many questions though.

Can I purchase two All Access tickets on one account and if do that or even one, how do you pay in advance when models will be assigned to me from preference list which I’m doing later and are different prices? Pay for after I’m assigned but before Breyerfest I’m assuming? Just trying to figure out how much money need next week. Thank you!

I just want to say that this is awesome because I have had several health issues the past couple of years one being a history of skin cancer and it’s extremely hard for me to stand out in a hot summer sun for any length of time, so this makes it so much easier for me to gallop from tent to tent if I go this year. I hope Breyer does it this way every year from here on out!

Love this idea. Although it is exciting to see which model we are able to get at the end of the line, it was miserable standing in line in the heat. Was more like an endurance test. See how long we can stay in line with all these sweaty people. Thank you, Breyer. Good idea. Hope it works out.

I like the idea of this, but I hope you will have multiple pick-up points throughout the park. You’ve eliminated the crowded tent line, but now you will have a chaotic mob. Or maybe you will put up those roped off chutes, and we’re back to waiting in long lines. Not a complaint, just an observation.
Regardless, I will be looking forward to attending in person again! This actually will help me plan my day without worry of missing my time-slot.

while I’m super excited about this, it will only make it even harder to save up in time! i will be having the option to possibly get up to 8 special runs, and seriously need all the time I can get to save up. hopefully purchase time will be right before breyerfest!

I’m sorry but it’s ridiculous that Special Run models and other Breyerfest exclusive models HAVE to be picked up in-person at the Kentucky Horse Park, even if you buy a VIP Access virtual ticket. I mean, if I’m going to purchase a virtual ticket, in the first place, it obviously means that I am unable to attend the event, in-person… yet if I don’t, I forfeit the models that are included with the VIP ticket? I really don’t understand why you can’t just ship the Special Run models to virtual ticket purchasers that are eligible for them; not everyone is able to attend the event in-person, and that is obviously why they would purchase a virtual ticket, at all. This is really disappointing.
