BreyerFest would not be possible without the support of our amazing volunteers and Monday, March 20th is your final day to apply to be one for this year’s celebration of BreyerFest: Driving Forward!
We are seeking volunteers to support the following areas of BreyerFest, so if you think you’d be the perfect fit, get that application in ASAP!
Workshop & Seminar Assistants – these volunteers assist the workshop instructors in the South Expo Hall of the Alltech Arena and seminar presenters in the Theater of the Visitor Information Center. Workshop Assistants help with passing out supplies, helping students with their projects, and cleaning up after each session to get ready for the next one. Seminar Assistants support speakers with ad hoc needs, count session attendees, and ensure each talk stays on schedule.
Hands-on Hobby Booth & Diorama Contest –volunteers in the Hands-on Hobby booth tent should be skilled in an area of the model horse hobby and interested in presenting their craft to the public using their own supplies. From tack making to model repairs, the Hands-on Hobby tent is a great way to give Breyer fans insight into the versatility of this fun hobby. Also in this same tent will be the Diorama Contest! Volunteers for this area will receive participant entries, keep them organized, and assist with entrant pickup after the conclusion of the contest.
BreyerFest Docents – these volunteers will assist in any of three different areas at BreyerFest, either stationed at the Event’s Help Desks, as captains on the KHP Loop shuttle buses, or wandering the park to answer guest questions. Applicants for these roles should be familiar with both BreyerFest and the KHP.
Craft Tent – these volunteers assist in the most popular spot at BreyerFest – Stablemates Painting at the Craft Tent! This is a very active role where volunteers ensure guests in the craft tent have all the supplies they need and a tidy area in which to paint. Other craft activities may also be offered by Breyer in this tent, all of which are free for adults and kids to participate in.
Swap Meet & Artisans’ Gallery Assistant – volunteers in these areas will assist with crowd control for both the Swap Meet and Artisans’ Gallery, answering guest questions, and other ad hoc needs.
The deadline for applications is 5 pm Eastern time on Monday, March 20th, so get those applications in soon! You can learn more and apply here!
