For this summer’s BreyerFest, we’re thrilled to be hosting some locally-made Lexington music in our Beer Garden tent out in Celebration Park! A different band will be on stage each day of BreyerFest weekend, so be sure to check all of them out!
On Friday, you’ll definitely want to check out Canvas, a 5-piece classic rock and dance band from Lexington, Kentucky. The band formed in 2021 from a collective desire of making people happy and bringing a unique sound to multiple genres of music. They are a talented group of musicians who can’t get enough classic rock and dance music, so be ready to hit that dance floor! If Earth Wind and Fire, Tom Petty, Chris Stapleton, and Motown make you want to get out of your seat, you will love how Canvas covers these artists and many more.
On Saturday, we’re changing tunes with Cane Run Bluegrasson the stage! Cane Run Bluegrass (CRB) is a traditional bluegrass band from Lexington, Kentucky. Founded in 2013, the band has entertained audiences for nearly ten years with their unique brand of music, three-part harmonies, and humor. Cane Run has played many different venues through the years including bluegrass festivals, municipal events, fairs, churches, and private and corporate events. The band consists of John Mattingly (banjo), Dan Bailey (mandolin), Jack Willoughby (bass), and David Hewitt (guitar).

And on Sunday, we are thrilled to be hosting Eric Bolander, with special guest Chelsea Nolan! Opening on Sunday morning, Chelsea Nolan will treat fans to her brand of soulful music inspired by growing up in arguably the most beautiful countrysides in the nation, surrounded by self-taught musicians who could play the pants off most any instrument. Saying more in one line than most do in an entire song, her stories are candid, gritty, real, and they carry you right along with her through the heartbreak, humility, and life lessons learned.
Eric Bolander's flavor of Americana/folk music offers soulful vocal tone with thoughtful melodies that have staying power. Lyrically driven by life experiences, Eric's songs will give you a glimpse into his life and a realization that happiness can be perpetuated through pain.
Eric grew up in the small eastern KY town of Garrison in the Ohio River Valley along the foothills of Appalachia (pop. 1400). He learned through his Dad to work for what you want/need and never take someone for granted. Love and work ethic were driving forces of his humble upbringing. Eric now lives and works out of Lexington, KY. He's called Lexington home for most of his adult life. An art teacher by day and musician by night, Eric's mind is always immersed in the arts. Passion for the arts is what keeps him moving forward.
The schedule for our incredible musicians will be posted in this year’s event program, a digital version of which will be available approximately two weeks before BreyerFest.
