Each summer, BreyerFest is home to some of the largest model horse shows in the country, and thanks to the magic of technology, we are able to host photo shows that reach even more Breyer fans who are interested in showing their models.
For this year’s celebration of “Horse of a Different Color” BreyerFest is hosting a variety of model horse photo shows that are open to ALL VIP and All-Access ticket holders. All three shows are being hosted on Pony Bytes, a platform made specifically for photo showing model horses, and will have their Champions and Reserve Champions announced LIVE on Zoom BreyerFest weekend!
The BreyerFest Open Model Horse Photo Showis for experienced showers over the age of 13. This photo show, hosted by Michelle Masters, is highly competitive and participants can show in either Halter or Performance. We covered what this means in this blog post from a few weeks ago, but in a nutshell “Halter” classes are where entrants show an untacked model and “Performance” classes are where entrants create a snapshot of a scene from a horse event. Models are entered into their classes using a single photograph, and experienced judges review each entry based on specific criteria.
BreyerFest is also expanding the traditional Children’s and Youth Show to include an Adult Novice Section. The new Children’s, Youth, and Adult Novice Model Horse Photo Show, or the CYAN Show, is geared towards younger showers and new showers of all ages and managers Eleanor Harvey and Kim Bjorgo-Thorne can’t wait to show you the ropes! Detailed descriptions of each of these shows can be found on the Model Horse Shows page, but all three shows are intended to be educational in nature to prepare participants for the BreyerFest Open Show.
BreyerFest is also pleased to sponsor the Breakables Photo Show as well, which is once again hosted by manager Diana R. Dubbeld. This show is for china models only and also features halter and performance classes and a spectacular judging lineup!
Learn more about all three shows here and learn more about Pony Bytes here. Registration for all three shows is open now, but each has different deadlines, so please be sure to make a note of the Important Dates to Remember for the show you are entering.
