This summer's BreyerFest is all about being inspired by color and creativity and celebrating the way horses (and model horses) bring us together as a community. What better way to be inspired by color than through art? And since we just can’t seem to get enough of this beautiful sculpt here at HQ, we thought he would be the perfect way to start off the reveals for BreyerFest 2021’s Special Run lineup.
Meet our first Horse of a Different Color – Uffington!
Probably the most famous horse in England, the Uffington White Horse is more than 350 feet long and is approximately 3,000 years old. Located in Oxfordshire, England, it was created by digging massive trenches (some as deep as 3 and a half feet) that were then filled with crushed white limestone chalk – a massive undertaking! The rationale for why it was created remains unknown, but it is truly a sight to behold!
Our Uffington is in a similar pose to the original hillside art piece and has been done on the Akhal Teke (mold #805) sculpted by Breyer’s own Heather Puleo. Originally released in 2020 for the Premier Club, and most recently seen as a Celtic Fling raffle model, he has been done for our 2021 BreyerFest celebration of “Horse of a Different Color” in an eye-catching, pearly cremello. We think he’s an absolute stunner and we can’t wait for him to find a home in your herd!

The first time I found out about Akhel Tekes , it was a picture of a cremello. I remember being struck by their majesty, thinking that if there were a horse breed closest to a unicorn in my mind, that would be the one. I’m hopefully going to be able to get a vip ticket once they become available, and this boy has a definitive space of the two slots for special runs <3. A model to die for truly! Amazing work Breyer Artists!

Breyer. My grandma had a horse that looked just like him. His name was Spook. He was a really good barrel racing horse. When i was little i would ride him all the time. So you guys did a really good job on him Breyer. Outstanding job. When i saw him at mad me a little sad. This Breyer model horse brings back so many good memorize. Thank you once again Breyer for this outstanding Breyer model.

Breyer. You’ve knocked it out of the park, once again. I’m not lying when I say I teared up at this model. It’s an exact replica of a horse I once loved a long time ago. I’ll never really be able to see him again, and this model… it made me so happy. I’ve always wanted a cremello Breyer to memorialize him, and this is absolutely perfect for him. Thank you thank you thank you for bribing him back to my mind. Truly extraordinary, this model. Very beautiful. I cannot wait for the other reveals. 😊
