Persevering Plushie!
We know our fans have persevered in waiting for this final reveal! The Limited Edition we are showing you today is of an endangered species that persevered through the brink of extinction - and what better day for this reveal than National Endangered Species Day?
The Przewalski’s (pronounced "sheh-VAHL-skee") horse has overcome great odds to survive in its ever-changing wild environment. This critically endangered breed is the last truly wild horse, found roaming the harsh Mongolian steppes. The Przewalski’s horse was once found across Europe and Asia in great numbers, but because of rapid changes in the environment they lived in, the remaining horses were forced to congregate in east Asia. This nearly led to their extinction. However, through careful breeding efforts with captive horses, these equines were able to escape permanent extinction and be reintroduced to their native land.
For our final Limited Edition reveal, we are so excited to show off this year’s adorably squishable plush! Percy the Przewalski has persevered through the threat of extinction and is excited to join fans in Kentucky. The plucky pony is modeled after a real Przewalski and sports a dun-colored coat with a dark dorsal stripe, zebra-like erect mane, plumed tail, and darker legs. Percy will also have the Against All Odds logo embroidered on his hoof.
This cute plush with a remarkable comeback story will be available to all BreyerFest ticket holders, whether you’re joining us at the Kentucky Horse Park or online on BreyerHorses.com.
