With less than a month away the excitement of BreyerFest is palpable! We have met so many talented artists who just can’t wait to share their wonderful creations with Breyer fans! Today’s spotlight highlights another artist who is very excited to showcase her work to BreyerFest fans during the Artisans’ Gallery in a few weeks.
Meet - Caroline Boydston of White Horse Studios!
Like all of our artists, Caroline has always loved horses and appreciated their beauty. Her family moved to the US from Switzerland when she was young and that love of horses did not diminish! Her family raised Hanoverian and Thoroughbred horses at their ranch in Colorado and she rode competitively in many equestrian events, including Dressage and Eventing. Inspired by her love of real horses, Caroline has been drawing and painting them for as long as she can remember. She began painting professionally in 1995 and many collectors soon sought after her work!
Caroline learned how to use an air-brush from fellow artist and hobbyist Sheryl Leisure, who taught her many techniques that Caroline has perfected over the years. She still has the very first model that she ever painted to remind her of where she came from! Caroline loves the hobby community and all the friends and memories she has made. She is always amazed at the new sculptures that are created and loves the variety of horses to now paint!
It was Sheryl Leisure who first told Caroline about BreyerFest in the early aughts and after attending her first BreyerFest, she was hooked - Caroline has been attending and participating in the Artisans’ Gallery for the last twenty years. This year she is very excited to be back again for virtual fans. She has many works she is excited about that raise the bar for her in their level of detail and artistry! Check out Caroline’s stunning work here!
