Seller Spotlight: Trailing Shadows Farm

Each year, BreyerFest hosts a variety of sellers as part of our Marketplace – some of those sellers have been participating in the event for as long as we can remember, and some are brand-new to BreyerFest. Today, we’re excited to introduce you to one seller who has been selling for 4 years at BreyerFest, and is traditionally found at the Swap Meet, hosted in the Clarion! She is excited to connect with everyone this summer through our virtual Marketplace at BreyerFest: Horse of a Different Color in July.

Meet Deb Connell!

Based out of Washington, Deb’s journey with horses began at an early age. As she puts it, “I came out of the womb loving horses!” Over the years that love has not changed. Even though she is not sure what side of her family gave her the immense love of horses she has today, Deb is thankful to be involved in the horse model world!

Deb is primarily involved in the hobby through model horse shows. She hosts her own show every year in February at Emerald Downs Racetrack located in Auburn, Washington. She has gathered a great following of other hobbyists who all come together to show off their models! She has met wonderful friends over the years, which inspire her to continue to collect and show her models. Deb loves the quality of the Breyer product and she still gets excited when new Breyer designs come out. She just claims she needs more space to display everything! Don’t we all!   

She first learned about BreyerFest from a friend who also had never been, but had a connection who could do pickups for her. In 1998 Deb attended her first BreyerFest and never looked back! She made the decision to start selling at the BreyerFest Swap Meet, hosted at the Clarion hotel, in 2017. She hopes that this year BreyerFest buyers will be able to find a little bit of everything in what she is offering for sale, including vintage and new, original finish, and custom!
