We posted earlier this week about the Special Run Line, but there was a lot of information and we bet some of you have some questions.  Here are some of the most frequently asked questions that relate to the Special Run Line – we hope this helps!

How many models can I buy?

Each Special Run ticket allows you to purchase up to 2 different Special Run models, but you cannot purchase 2 of the same model (unless only 1 option is available). There is no guarantee all models will be available when you go through the line, but with so many beautiful models each year there is always something for everyone to be excited about!

What happens if I am late for my ticket time?

If you are late and miss when your ticket number went into the store you will need to go to the end of the line, so please be prompt!

What happens if I miss my timeslot entirely?

If you miss your ticket time you will miss out on your chance to shop! We cannot replace Special Run tickets or exchange for a later time if the original timeslot has passed. Please be on time! See a BreyerFest staff member onsite at the Special Run Line Tent with any questions.

How does the line work?

In an effort to keep shopping fair and to prevent guests from lining up too early, the Special Run line starts with a randomly-drawn ticket number each hour.  This number is drawn 15 minutes before each ticket time, so please do not show up for your timeslot earlier than that.  Here’s how it works: You have received ticket #35 for the Friday 2pm-3pm shopping time. At 1:45pm you need to gather at the Special Run Line Tent and a number will be drawn that will determine which ticket number will start the line. If the number drawn is 29, the line for that time slot will start with the holder of ticket #29, followed by #30, #31 and so on. When the highest number for that group has been reached, the next number will be #1, then #2 and so on, ending with #28. If you are late and your ticket number has already gone into the store you must go to the end of the line.  No exceptions. Tickets will be checked by Breyer staff as guests go through the store.

How does a group or family go through the line?

Each can go through the Special Run line once and may purchase up to two models per ticket. If you purchased all of your tickets at the same time, you may have tickets with consecutive numbers. This allows groups to remain on the line together and shop together. If you would prefer to spread out over multiple ticket times or across the hour (some choose to do this to vary their shopping options), you can purchase your tickets in smaller groups.

Can I buy multiple Three-Day tickets for the same timeslot to get more special runs?

We do not recommend this. For example, if one guest has 2 tickets for Friday at 10 am, #15 and #127, that person can go through the line as #15 or #127 and purchase 2 models with one of those tickets. If their second ticket number has already been called into the store, they would then have to go to end of the line for the 10 am time slot to be able to use their second ticket. If their second ticket has not been called, they can get into place in line. You cannot go through with multiple tickets at the same time or purchase more than two models at a time.   As well, you are not permitted to bring shopping bags into the Special Run Store, so any bags you have would need to be checked before a second shopping trip.

If you do wish to purchase more than two Special Run models, we recommend buying your tickets for different timeslots throughout the weekend.  Each timeslot has the same number of models allocated, so there is no benefit to shopping in one timeslot versus another; however, if you opt to get tickets for different timeslots, you will likely get a different number on your ticket, thus altering your place in line.
