Hey fans! By now most of you should have received your ticket books for BreyerFest, how exciting! As we posted earlier today, our international fans (including our Canadian neighbors to the north) will need to pick their ticket books up at Will Call, starting on July 14th.
We have noticed that there are some questions about the Special Run tickets a few of you have received in your books, so we wanted to take some time to answer them directly.
Some of you received the “Wild Card” Special Run Model Redemption ticket. This ticket allows the holder the option to purchase any available Special Run Model at BreyerFest in the Model Handout Tent – inventory of every Special Run Model will be made available each day of BreyerFest, with the exception of Stein, who is currently all reserved.
If you received this ticket, it could have been because the models on your preference list were not available by the time your spot in line was reached, or you did not submit a preference list, or because your tickets were purchased after the May 23rd deadline. Rather than assign models to accounts that were not preferred, Wild Card tickets were provided to let ticket holders choose for themselves!
To recap – the Wild Card Special Run Model Redemption Ticket can be used to purchase any of the available Special Run Models at BreyerFest, as early as Friday morning. Stein will not be among the available models. Models will be made available each day of BreyerFest, so if the one you’re looking for is sold out one day, check back first thing the next morning or select one of the other amazing models!

What’s the fun in knowing exactly what you are going to get?! We can’t all get what we pick. Plus there’s the added fun of the chance to trade-even trade-at the event. I was kicking myself for missing the preference list deadline, but I’m kinda excited now. Who knows what Breyer is going to throw at us at the last minute, what variations they came up with we don’t know about yet! Some of us will be the ones to make that last minute decision. They have to make the online and in person experience great-that ain’t easy lol. So yall just calm down a little and enjoy the ride! If you were on a horse, it probably would have bucked you off by now! LOL See ya there!

I still have not received my ticket book. Should I start to worry that is has been lost in the mail ? Friends have not received theirs either and some of them need to mail their ticket book to me so I can pick up their models. Time is running out. My thought is that extending the end date several times to buy tickets has created a very short mailing window. Fingers crossed my ticket book will arrive soon.

I didn’t get a wild card ticket, might have preferred that option as opposed to some of the duplicate ones I got. I wanted some duplicates (like rotating draft), but also got selected for pieces I did NOT put down for. I’m OK with it, but the wildcard ticket seems like a curve ball at the last minute.

Lacypride, I had the same problem. I ordered 3 tickets and got only 2 different models. I’m hoping someone will wasn’t to trade for my Brahms of Rapunzel.

Well, at least we all know that Stein is totally reserved and will not be available for purchase! Ahead of time I mean. Only those who have sent there preference forms and have his ticket, will get him. However, any body who does have a wild card ticket can still purchase any model available throughout the weekend, sweet!! that’s cool :)

This is awesome! Thanks! I think that a clarification post on where to get the Special Runs, including the VIP Special Runs, would be awesome because a lot of people seem to be really confused.

So the wild card is a run as fast as you can and hope your in the first part of the line? I ended up with duplicate tickets. I put horses in order of what I liked 1-9 and ended up with 3 copies of 2 different horses. And now I find that you have open horses in my other choices but I got duplicates instead? How is this right?

I understand that nothing can be done about this at this point…but knowing that I submitted individual preference sheets for both of the tickets I bought..it kinda hurts to see people that purchased 3 to 6 tickets get all of their reserved models while I ended up with 4 wildcards.
I hope there’s something we can do next year to make it more fair.

I loved the pre Covid way. I think the way it’s set up now is to help those not attending in person to get special runs but I’m not really sure. I preferred the number system where you had a number … they picked a number at random by drawing and that number started the line for the special run tent. It seemed more fair. But it is what it is … it will still be a great time. We will all just need to try and trade out duplicates. 😵💫
