BreyerFest is an opportunity for Breyer fans and the equestrian community to come together as a whole to celebrate horses, not just to shop. As a virtual event, this year we are able to go beyond the physical limitations we had onsite to explore the model horse hobby and beauty of horses like never before. We are thrilled to be able to bring this fun and unique experience to our amazing fans! We’ve got a lot lined up for guests to this year’s Virtual Celtic Fling and we can’t wait to bring it to you!
BreyerFest partners from around the country are participating with unique behind-the-scenes looks at their private farms, training sessions and interviews with owners and trainers. The breed demonstration groups we love seeing in the Covered Arena have been busy recording their always impressive performances at home and we can’t wait to share them with you! We are grateful for everyone’s participation and dedication to this special event. The Celebration of Horses evening show will also be with us for Virtual BreyerFest! Sylvia Zerbini’s private Grande Liberté Farm in Florida provides the perfect location for an evening of beauty and connection with horses.
In addition to our incredible equestrian entertainers, our Virtual Celtic Fling is pleased to host our Celtic Fling Entertainment – Irish step dancers from the Bliegrass Ceili Academy, music from The Freestylers of Piping, and our incredible Highland Games Athletes.
The Hands-On Hobby Center will be online too! This is such an important place at BreyerFest. This is where we can really celebrate the talent in the model horse hobby. Guests can check out tutorials on tooling leather, tack making, faux finishes, making jumps and so much more! These tutorials are a great introduction to the many facets of the hobby. From there, you can take part in more in-depth instruction with one of the more than 30 different Workshops and Seminars which will be posted for viewing for the weekend. These workshops are brought to you by experts from both the model horse world and the equestrian industry. Workshops are open to 3-Day ticket holders only, but the Hobby tutorials and Seminars will be available for public viewing. Be sure to tune in!
For the first time ever, we will be able to share galleries of ALL the incredible entries into the Diorama Contest and Best Customs contests! All entries will be put into online galleries for viewing and judging. You will get to see what our judges see! These entries always blow us away so we are really happy to be able to share these with everyone. Its almost impossible to spend enough time with them all onsite!
Our Virtual Artisans’ Gallery has taken on a life of its own! Originally we planned to limit the gallery to the artists who were scheduled to join us onsite but after receiving interest from so many really talented artists who aren’t able to travel with their work, we decided to open it up even further. This Gallery space will be dedicated to promoting these talented artists who work so hard on their craft. We are so inspired by them and hope you are, too! Artists who are interested in participating can access the application here.
Not to be left out, the Model Horse Shows will be newly imagined for this year’s Virtual Celtic Fling! The Open Show has been transitioned to a Photo Show and already has 300 entries! That is nearly double our onsite participation! We cannot wait to see the images you all submit. Registration to the show has been EXTENDED to June 15 due to popular demand. You must be a 3-Day ticket holder to participate. The Youth and Children’s show as been completely revamped into a full-day tutorial with a new class starting every 30 minutes. The schedule will be released soon. Registration is FREE but you must sign up in advance for access; the registration form will be available soon. This is a great opportunity for newer adults or younger Breyer fans who are just getting started in their model horse show adventure to learn more about the world of model horse showing.
As always, there is no shortage of things to do at BreyerFest. What is on your to-do list?
