BreyerWest Artist Showcase!

One of the best parts of BreyerWest is the intimacy of the experience and the opportunity guests have to chat with our guest artists.  If you’ll be joining us on Saturday, February 25^th, you’ll have the chance to chat with artist Melanie Miller who will be among the featured artists all day that day.

In addition to the work she’s done for Breyer (she’s the sculptor behind the Freedom Series scale mold for Mighty Muscle and Solaris), Melanie is an accomplished painter and sculptor in her own right and was a finalist in the 2022 BreyerFest Best Customs Contest.  You can see her incredible work here - https://www.melmillerequineart.com/   Melanie will have on display some of her beautiful medallions and will have a mold on hand to demonstrate her process and techniques.

Melanie has made her life's work studying horses in order to create the most realistic pieces possible. Anatomy, color, behavior, the myriad breed types and activities, as well as the materials and methods of creating provide an endless opportunity to learn, and to pass on that knowledge for others to use. It is her hope that the model horse community will continue to grow and collaborate alongside the fun of competition.
