Did you guess our clue from last week?

Zafirah is poised for showing in-hand (and a likely victory!), Breyer fan favorite artist Brigitte Eberl captured both the fire and elegance of the Arabian. Well-known for her authentic Arabian sculptures, Brigitte portrays the breed beautifully in part to her deep knowledge of the breed, having owned an Arabian mare herself for over 22 years! Her greatest challenge with this piece was creating a harmonious sculpture that showed Zafirah’s presence, attention, and femininity while in a show pose.

Artist Myla Pearce created Zafirah’s original finishwork and this model was the first release in the 2022 Premier Club.  Zafirah has a dark liver chestnut coat with subtle dappling, and her mane and tail feature strands of blonde, chestnut, and near black. She also has detailed eyes, striped hooves, ermine spots, and mapping on edges of white markings.

If you’re participating in this year’s BreyerWest Open Model Horse Show, Zafirah could be yours!  This lovely mare is the prize for our Open Show Overall Champions, so six lucky winners will get to take this model home.
