BreyerFest Know Before You Go

Can you believe BreyerFest is just one week away?! Our Events team and staff have already made their way to Kentucky to get everything ready for you, and now it’s time for you to get ready and know before you go! Here are some helpful tips as you plan for an amazing and fantastic festival.

• Kentucky in July is notoriously hot so be prepared. Stay hydrated and wear plenty of sunscreen!
• Remember to take in the beautiful Kentucky Horse Park while you’re there! The KHP boasts the International Museum of the Horse and the fantastic breeds barn, which are included with your tickets - but remember, it is a horse park. Dress comfortably and wear good walking shoes; closed-toe shoes are recommended as you may be up close to live animals and walking over various types of terrain.
• Since many of you will be traveling out of state, we highly recommend that you notify your bank or credit card provider that you are attending a festival, and that you will likely have charges to your credit or debit cards from multiple states within the same weekend. Be prepared and be safe!
• Breyer points of sale are cash free and subject to Kentucky state sales tax (6%). This includes the Ticket Booth, Covered Arena Store, Tent Store, Special Run Line, Silent Auction, and Live Auction*.
• Note: Balances can be retrieved by scanning the card at the kiosk or utilizing the phone number or website on the back of the card. Breyer POS systems will only be able to charge up to the balance on the card. (For example, if you card has a $100 available balance and you spend $150, please let the cashier know before that you need to split your purchase across multiple cards, otherwise the transaction will be declined.)
• There will be 3 Reverse ATM kiosks onsite at the Ticket Booth, Special Run Line, and Covered Arena Breyer Store to exchange cash for a free prepaid ReadyCard Visa debit card.
• Expect a bit of a line near the Ticket Booth/Will Call (main entrance into BreyerFest) in the early morning for those looking to make the BreyerFest Stores their first stop. After 9:30 am there is generally no line for admission into BreyerFest, but the BreyerFest Stores will be busy for the morning hours.
• Picking up tickets at Will Call? You can get them as noted below with the available hours.
• Thursday at the Clarion Hotel - 10 am to 5 pm
• Friday and Saturday – 9 am to 5 pm at the Park
• Sunday – 9 am to 4 pm at the Park
• Did we mention it gets hot? FREE seminars and EQUUS films, located in the air-conditioned Visitor Information Center, will be running all weekend long!
• Avoid stress and give your feet a break – especially if you didn’t follow our second point above! Take advantage of the free shuttle service offered by BreyerFest throughout the park.
• Are you participating in the Model Horse Shows? Please use the LEFT LANE to be in the correct lane to head to the Alltech Arena.
• Oh yes, just a reminder that it is hot! Please be prepared and look for the areas to take shade, indoor cover, or find the misting fans that are set up in many of the tents to help keep guests cool!
