National Help a Horse Day serves as a national day of acknowledgment for equine organizations to highlight the work they do to save at-risk horses. Moreover, it showcases how people can join them to make a difference in the equine community.
Although rescues and shelters work tirelessly to assist these animals, these organizations need support to sustain their efforts. National Help a Horse Day is a reminder of the programs that continue to help build a better life for horses, and that they need our support to do so.
In support of this effort, Breyer will donate 10% of regular line product sales today to Old Friends, Inc. of Georgetown, KY. Their mission is to "...provide a dignified retirement to Thoroughbreds whose racing and breeding careers have come to an end. By promoting these once celebrated horses through a campaign of education and tourism, our goal is to raise awareness of the importance of equine aftercare."
