American Quarter Horse
Sommer Prosser created a gorgeous sculpture of the most popular breed in the United States - the American Quarter Horse! The breed was named for its incredible sprinting ability that makes it the fastest horse in races of a quarter mile or less. Also the treasured mounts of Western riders and cowboys, this beautiful palomino is a great example of the horse that has earned the adoration of a nation!

American Saddlebred
Developed in the United States, the American Saddlebred is favored for its varied gaits that are performed with beautiful high-stepping action! These versatile horses are primarily used for saddle seat and driving competitions, but are also popular for trail riding, as their gaits provide a smooth ride. This lovely chestnut, sculpted by Kathleen Moody, is performing the animated rack that is unique to this breed.

The world's oldest breed, the Arabian horse originated with the Bedouin tribes of the desert, and has played a role in the evolution of almost every breed of horse! Their outstanding stamina and endurance helps them dominate the sport of endurance riding. Characterized by their beautifully dished face, curved ears, and high tail carriage, the Arabian has been the mount of nobility and conquerors, and today is seen everywhere from riding the trails to winning in the show ring. With this sculpture of an attractive grey Arabian, artist Kathleen Moody has accurately captured the characteristics that have made so many fall in love with the breed.

Developed on the Iberian Peninsula, the Andalusian is also called the Pure Spanish Horse or Pura Raza Española (PRE) and has existed since the 15th century. With their background as war horses, and as mounts of nobility and bull fighters, the athletic and graceful Andalusian today is favored for classical dressage. Sculpted by Brigitte Eberl, this bay Andalusian strikes a spirited pose.

I am always a little afraid of ordering the breakables, since I have had bad luck with shipping in the past. This will be something else to look forward to at BreyerFest this year. I can't wait!
