Portrait Model of Mistral Hojris, 2012 Olympic Gold Medalist, Coming Soon!

You loved watching him in the Olympics, and soon you can bring him home! We are excited to announce the forthcoming model of 2012 Olympic team gold medalist in dressage, Mistral Hojris!

The pairing of Laura Bechtolsheimer and Mistral Hojris, a charismatic 1995 Danish Warmblood gelding affectionately called "Alf," has made the dressage world take notice! In the 2012 Olympic Games in London, Bechtolsheimer and Mistral Hojris' strong performance helped their team earn the gold medal for Team Dressage. This marked the very first time Great Britain won a medal in dressage! This historic victory was made that much sweeter as it was won on the team's home turf. Yesterday in the Individual Grand Prix Freestyle competition, Bechtolsheimer and Alf continued to shine and earned the bronze medal.

To those who have been following Bechtolsheimer's career, her 2012 Olympic achievements come as no surprise, as her years of hard work and dedication to her sport have amassed her an ever-lengthening list of accomplishments. After competing for Great Britain at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, Laura was named British Dressage Rider of the Year. The following year, she and Alf helped Great Britain clinch the silver medal in Team Dressage at the 2009 European Dressage Championships, and brought home the bronze medal in Grand Prix Special. Not losing any steam, they also brought home three silver medals at the 2010 World Equestrian Games (WEG): Team Grand Prix, Individual Grand Prix Special, and the Individual Grand Prix Freestyle. To top off their WEG achievements, the pair set the British International GP record for all three!

In 2011, Bechtolsheimer and Alf were again part of the British team at the European Dressage Championships, and helped bring home the country's first gold medal for Team Dressage! They also took home the bronze medal in Grand Prix Special.

Breyer's Vice President of Marketing, Stephanie Macejko says, "We couldn't be happier for Laura and Alf. Breyer has always been about celebrating the spirit of the horse, and we are excited to bring the magic of this special horse to his fans with his portrait model!" Bechtolsheimer adds, "The Olympics have been thrilling, and I'm so proud to have been part of this historic team! I can't wait for dressage fans all over the world to have their very own Alf!"

Absolutely ecstatic to get him, I've been saving since I first heard about this gorgeous boy; so glad he's not expensive!

I already preordered him and the new Totilas from a distributor. I can't wait until both are released! I got excited when both were announced. I love the Salinerno mold and this one's color is to die for. Love chestnuts especially the ones with red-gold tones. Glad too both are regular runs so they are easily available and not as hard on the wallet.

In all riding the horse is supposed to shift the weight to hindquarters to adapt to a rider and not take all weight on the forehand(frontlegs)In advanced dressage especially piaffe the horse should be sitting and lowering hindquarters enough to be well noticed.Passage not quite as much. Both are done in trot.Hope that helps.Still not sure that one model represents all dressage horses well, but breyer stiil make lovely horse models.I'm an eventing enthusiast more.

I am not a big fan of the Keltic Salinero mold because of the coloring on them. But, I am a fan of this one and I think that I will most likely get him because he is stunning and beautiful!!!

i meant the first picture because i can't see it on my computer. The Salinero mold is one of my favorites (even though my favorite molds have to be in a top ten list because there is so many). The mold is the passage.

Wow! Gorgeous boy! Sant, i think that move is a piaffe. Either that or a passage. I get confused between the two, i'm not really a dressage person.

megpeg7: he is a regular run model so he will not be overprised and will probably be in the $40 to $50 dollar range....... you can email me and I might be able to help you acquire him if you have a problem getting him on your own when he comes out.

Wyndi's Mom: they stated that they helped to win Gold for their team and bronze for their individual. This duo is amazing, they are an assest to their country.

I wish!

I probably can't get him, breyer over prices all of these new horses. I mean a marwari for 200 bucks? This one will probably be like $300. With their $20 shipping! The only way I would buy this if it was $45-$50 THought THAT would be a miracle.
