Breyer in the UK

Breyer Animal Creations, a division of Reeves Intl., is dedicated to creating the finest model horses in the world for play and collecting. Reeves takes great pride in our 65-year-old Breyer brand and strives to continually raise the bar in quality and innovation, while keeping models and accessories affordable for children and collectors. As a family-owned, privately-held company, Reeves does not comment on our business and business relationships as a matter of both policy and inclination. We would however like to make an exception to this policy to comment on a business decision that has been mischaracterized: Breyer cannot, and will not, continue to supply a company that has chosen to become a business competitor. Nor would we ever agree to do so.

There also seems to be some confusion about the availability of Breyer models in the UK. We wish to assure you that the Breyer brand will continue to be distributed in the UK by DKL Marketing which has successfully expanded Breyer's retail footprint in the U.K. in 2014, its first year handling our brand in Britain. Please visit their website at to find a list of Breyer retailers throughout the UK and like them on Facebook for news of product launches, special events and more.

Will you sell any horses at Selfridges? It was a great store when I visited England.

Well Done

I can certainly understand the reasoning behind your choice to not list your product with a competitor. I am glad you have ensured there are other ways for international customers to find your products. I am in the US, but it makes me happy to know that people in the UK (young and old alike!) have access to getting a nice new Breyer without steep shipping costs :)

Oh, HeavensHartRanch, if that was intended to be tongue-in-cheek I am laughing pretty hard right now.

I'm not in the UK so this doesn't directly affect me, but I'm not particularly satisfied with this "official" response. I know you probably can't say any more, but this whole kerfuffle still leaves Breyer smelling something like road apples. Especially now that you responded without really saying anything.

I would love to hear your side of the story, but I won't hold my breath.

Utterly Horses also!

I've purchased from Utterly Horses as well and they are a fine reputable place to get Breyer horses. I live in the states but they were willing to ship a special UK only available SR to me for the additional shipping. :)

Thank you

Unfortunately many people won't see this and there's probably many who will still choose to think negatively towards you because of this, but there's plenty of us who understand the reasons behind it and will support you.

It's good to know that Breyer is international. :)
