SAVE THE DATE – October 14-16, 2016 Chasing the Chesapeake Collector Event

Breyer is off to Maryland this fall for our annual Collectors' event! To kick-off the weekend, we'll head to Elkton for a tour of Vintage Farm at the Fair Hill Training Center featuring Michael Matz, show jumping legend and trainer of the beloved Barbaro and Belmont winner Union Rags.  Following the tour, we'll head over to the Fair Hill International Cross Country Course for a course - walk hosted by some of Saturday's competing riders. The night will conclude with a Maryland inspired dinner in the exclusive Fair Hill VIP tent! On Saturday morning, we're headed back to Fair Hill to spend the day on course with some of the biggest names in eventing. After an exciting day of competition, we'll return to our host hotel for fun dinner and early Halloween Costume Contest.  Cap off the weekend with exclusive models created specifically for Chasing the Chesapeake.

Entries are limited to 200 Collector Club members. Not a member? You can sign up here!

Tickets to the event will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Stay tuned to Collector Club News for the date and time.  Please note that participation in this event will require a significant amount of walking outdoors and cross country over uneven ground and gravel surfaces.  Please take this into consideration when deciding to purchase your ticket to attend.

Woo sounds like fun! Thank you breyer for offering us another event:) Boss gave me the ok to take off so fingers crossed hubby and i can get tickets when they come out:) Really excited to watch some eventing. A little worried about the walking part but if we can make it through the heat at breyerfest, we can make it through anything!

Wish I could go, but being so far from the West Coast and the fact I'm going to the BC to see California Chrome approximately two weeks, not going to be able to. I was supposed to go to the Chicago one last year, then my job changed and I couldn't go. :-( Be nice to have something on the West Coast once in a while though! I can't afford the lofty airfares out east (it took me 24 years to get to BF in KY from the last time I went if that says anything!) very often.

I hope to be able to score tickets, I have the vacation time cleared! :)

Breyer has had events in San Diego, California, as well as Dallas, Texas, Chicago, Illinois, Orlando, Florida, their home of New Jersey, and now Maryland. (Not in that order) Plus Breyerwest in both CA and OR.

Personally, I think it's only fair if they have one in Canada or Maine next to reach each corner of the US (and the Canadian collectors).

Thank you Breyer for offering another Collector Club event! Here's hoping that my partner in crime and I can get tickets. Being on the west coast these events have been perfect opportunities for us to explore eastern destinations. Wouldn't have been able to go to New York with BEB, or Chicago without the Sweet Home event. So many great memories with great people. Keep up the good work!

Great, another breyer event thousands of miles from the west coast. Come on breyer we have to travel thousands of miles to breyerfest and NAN every year. You can at least give us an event on the west coast once in awhile. Geese I think we spend twice as much as the other collectors just to have a shot at something nice. Kind of losing a bit of interest here as it seem a bit unfair for us out on the west coast.

Lottery vs First Come First Serve

Thank you for explaining that, it makes a bit more sense now. I didn't take into consideration the situations where people may have been backing out when chosen or trying to sell their tickets, which would basically circumvent the fairness of the lottery anyway. However Breyer chooses to do these events, I'll try my best to get into the ones I know I can A) afford and B) actually make it to!

Lottery vs. First Come First Serve

The reason they went back to first come first serve is that a LOT of people who didn't really know what they were putting their name in for, or else didn't really want to go, put their names in. Then Breyer had to do multiple wait list drawings before finally selling all the tickets. There were even a few people trying to sell the ticket they were drawn for, which you can't do. I, for one, am much happier with first come first serve. And if I remember right the last time they used this method it took at least a full day before the tickets were sold out.

Aren't attendees usually chosen by lottery? I hope I can catch the ticket sales when they go up, my online availability is super limited by my job. :( I always thought the lottery was fairer than first come first serve.
