BreyerFest 2023 Workshops

Workshops at BreyerFest offer hands-on learning experiences for all skill levels! Whether you are a novice or veteran in the model horse hobby, we have a workshop for you! If you’ll be attending BreyerFest in-person, be sure to register early for these experiences; these popular sessions sell out quickly!

Open to VIP and All-Access ticket holders only, our in-person workshops offer guests instruction from experienced Model Horse Hobby artists on topics ranging from tack making to sculpting. Detailed information, including the weekend’s schedule, can be found below. Our VIP ticket holders also have exclusive access to a selection of the sessions.

In addition to these in-person experiences, VIP, All-Access, and Online Traditional Access ticket holders will have access to this year’s selection of virtual workshops, which include more than a dozen pre-recorded sessions that are available for free to view! Simply get your supplies together and watch on your own time during BreyerFest weekend! More information about these pre-recorded sessions, including their supply lists, will be up later in the spring.

This year, all in-person BreyerFest workshops will be hosted in the South Expo Hall of the Alltech Arena. Please be sure you allow yourself plenty of time to get to the Alltech Arena so that you are on time for your workshop sessions. As well, there will be a seating area by each workshop space reserved for parents who have younger children attending. It is an approximately 15-minute walk from the Covered Arena to the Alltech Arena or take advantage of our shuttles!

Levels are defined as follows:
Beginner– good for a student who has never taken a workshop or is learning a new skill
Intermediate– perfect for the student who has taken a similar BreyerFest workshop or has experience in the subject
Advanced – ideally suited to students who have extensive knowledge of the subject and have taken previous BreyerFest workshops.

BreyerFest VIP Ticket holders have exclusive access to this selection of workshops, hosted by a lineup of incredible talents in the model horse hobby.  Please note that each of these workshops is hosted on a specific day at a specific time and will not be repeated.  Limit of two per VIP ticket holder per workshop.

If you plan to participate in the BreyerFest Open Model Horse Show on Friday July 14th, please note that you are not able to participate in the 1:12 Scale Road Carts, Celebration Horse Halter, or the Pinots & Pintos Painting Workshops as these sessions run concurrently with the show.

If you plan to participate in the BreyerFest Children’s or Youth Model Horse Shows on Saturday July 15th, please note that you are not able to participate in the Creating Water Bases or Sculpting Workshops as these sessions run concurrently with the show.

VIP and All-Access ticket holders have exclusive access to this incredible selection of workshops, from tack making to customizing! Our lineup of talented artists will show participants the ropes, guiding attendees every step of the way. Please make a note of the times workshops are offered and do not register for sessions that overlap!
