The Third Release of the 2024 Premier Club!

Argentina has many rich cultural traditions, which include fine food and wine, tango, and of course, the breeding of Criollo horses. This hardy breed is native to the Pampas region but has far-reaching influence within South America and throughout the world.

Horses in the Buenos Aires region can be traced back to the 1500s when the first Spaniards reached the Rio de la Plata. These horses were later abandoned, and as a feral population they developed traits that helped them survive the extreme temperatures and conditions of the region, lending them the vigor and stamina that they are known for today.

Even in the modern world, Criollo horses are still prized as working cow horses, especially in South America. Crillos can often be found as mounts of gauchos – skilled horsemen known for their extremely complex displays of equestrianism. They have also been crossed with lighter breeds such as Thoroughbreds to create sleek, agile Argentine polo ponies used by players worldwide. Their variety of colors, including dilutes and pinto patterns, are often responsible for the eye-catching mounts found on the polo field.

Bandalero was sculpted by Morgen Kilbourn, an artist known for her dynamic poses and faithful breed portrayals. Morgen often works from life, studying the intricacies of her real horses’ movements. Bandalero’s unique pose is a high-speed lead change, a maneuver which is useful in a variety of competitive events. His loud blood bay sabino coat was created by finishwork artist Heather Bullach as her first design for Breyer.

We are excited to be able to bring you Bandalero in both matte and glossy finishes, which you selected earlier this year. If you did not make a selection, you will receive a matte finish model. We sure you're going to love either version - both are stunning!

Bonus! As a thank-you for being a Premier Club member this year, your 2024 bonus Stablemates model, Enya, will be packaged in the same box as your Bandalero model. Sculpted and designed by artist Mindy Berg, this sweet blue roan appaloosa lying mare is sure to steal your heart. Please note that all Enya models have a matte finish.

Original Terms & Conditions:

To join the Premier Club, you must have a valid 2024 Collector Club membership, and sign up online by December 31, 2023. Membership enrollment ends at 11:59pm EST on December 31, 2023. You will be required to purchase three exclusive models. The first and second models will be $175.00 each, plus shipping and handling. The third release will be $200.00 plus shipping and handling. These will be billed when you purchase your models. Models ship in approximately May, August, and November 2024. Shipment dates may be affected due to circumstances outside of our control. Non-refundable $100 deposit due at sign up, which will be deducted equally from the price of each model at the time of billing ($33.34/model). When models are in stock and ready to ship, members will be notified via email with a link to complete their purchase online. NO other method of payment will be accepted. This program is a continuity club, which means you are obligated to purchase all three models. Failure to do so means you will no longer be eligible for the models or other club benefits, will forfeit your deposit, and will be removed from the Premier Club.
