An herbivorous prehistoric creature, the Olorotitan lived during the Upper Cretaceous Period. It is characterized by the large hatchet-like hollow crest adorning its skull, very distinct from the crests of all of its North American relatives. This dinosaur may have grown up to 26 feet long. Its name means Giant Swan. The Olorotitan's skull itself was supported by a rather elongated neck, having eighteen vertebrae. It also had an extremely stiff tail.
