The Rajasaurus, whose name means Kingly Lizard, was a carnivorous abelisaurid theropod dinosaur from the Upper Cretaceous period. Bones were originally excavated from India. It has been estimated to have a body length of 22 to 36 feet and a weight of over 6600 to 8800 pounds. Abelisaurids typically had four fingers, short arms, and, to compensate, a heavily-constructed head which was the primary tool for hunting. However, the skull and teeth were short, and they probably had modest jaw musculature.
