These horses and their friends have made memories that will last a lifetime!
We have had a fun week of reveals here on the BreyerFest Blog, and we’ve got one more up our sleeve before we head on into the weekend!
In the early 1980s Breyer hosted its first "Signing Parties," which traveled to retailers across the country. Participants had to pre-register in order to attend and the event which included a meal, talk, and Q&A with company executives. These small gatherings of model horse enthusiasts paved the way for what would ultimately become BreyerFest.
The first BreyerFest took place in 1990 and hosted approximately 1,000 people at, of course, the iconic Kentucky Horse Park. This event was in celebration of Breyer’s 40th anniversary and featured Dr. Peaches as what would come to be known as the Celebration Horse, plus meet and greets with guest horses, artists and speakers, a benefit raffle, seminars, and a live auction.
This small hobby event has evolved over the last 35 years and now features a yearly event theme, exclusive Special Run and limited edition models, guest horses, live equine demonstrations, dozens of workshops, seminars, awesome activities in Celebration Park, Stablemates painting, four model horse shows, an incredible artist showcase, and the breathtaking Celebration of Horses show.
However, it would not have grown to the incredible weekend we all know and love today without the Good Times and Great Friends we all share it with!
For this next Special Run model reveal, we are over the moon to show off off this gorgeous mare and foal pair! Good Times and Great Friends are created on the Cantering Mustang Mare and Mustang Foal (molds #820 and #827) by Rayvin Maddock. Our mare Good Times has been finished in a rich dapple bay with three white socks, and her foal Great Friends sports an adorable light chestnut coat – both finished in a stunning gloss. This adorable pair is only available to in-person VIP and All-Access ticket holders.
Have a great weekend, and we will see you back here on the BreyerFest Blog next week!
