Castle & Key
Joining us for the first time at BreyerFest this year is local distillery Castle & Key!
Castle & Key is a modern distillery with a storied past. Originally founded as the Old Taylor Distillery in 1887 by the bourbon legend Col. E.H. Taylor, the site fell to ruin after decades of neglect and was almost entirely lost to time. In 2014, Castle & Key was rediscovered by an industry outsider, who purchased and began restoring the distillery with a vision of creating an immersive experience and reimagining the way Kentucky spirits are presented to the world.
Today, the Castle & Key team is committed to honoring the history of Kentucky distillation, while at the same time challenging tradition. The result? A portfolio of unique spirits that have been crafted to inspire. We look forward to raising a glass with you soon!
If you’re a Kentucky local, you can find them at 4445 McCracken Pike in Frankfort. During BreyerFest weekend, be sure to stop by their converted horse trailer near the Special Run line for craft cocktails, mocktails, and coffee during the day, and on Friday and Saturday evenings outside the Alltech Arena before the Celebration of Horses evening show!
