Magpie | 2023 Collector Club

The Second Web Special in the 2023 Birds of a Feather Series!

Brave and flashy, the Magpie is known as much for its intelligence as its notable black-and-white appearance. In the same family as crows and ravens, the Magpie often symbolizes adaptability and wit.

Our Magpie is a glossy metallic black and white pinto Warmblood designed by artist Sommer Prosser. Like his namesake bird, his inky-black markings have a metallic blue sheen. His smooth-edged tobiano markings are a nod to the crisp white patterning seen on the Magpie’s feathering. With his long, flowing mane and tail, Sommer shares that his pose “evokes the feeling of a bird in flight.” He features a feather-shaped blaze, and has “Magpie 2023” on his belly.
