The 3rd Release in the 2020 Premier Collection
Troubadour is the Third release in the 2020 Collection. New England’s Morgan horse is famed for its versatility. While some Morgan lines have introduced other bloodlines to create horses bred primarily for showing, Foundation Morgans have little to no non-Morgan blood in their lineage. These horses have remained the agile and hard-working partners that they were bred to be over 200 years ago.
This fancy Foundation Morgan stallion will have you singing on your travels, like the strolling musicians he’s named after. Troubadour is the creation of equine artist Kylee Parks of Studio Thornrose. Kylee shares, that “art and horses have always have been the center of who I am,” and credits the model horse hobby for helping her learn and grow as an artist. While this is her first piece for Breyer, Kylee’s exceptional work has already earned her a large following.
Kylee captured Troubadour in a purposeful and powerful trot. Sculpted to be performance friendly, he displays the athletic and baroque build of the foundation line, as well as the Morgan’s timeless traits: a beautiful face, kind eyes, small ears, and unique topline. With his muscular neck gracefully arched, and his gait showing off his strong bone, he’s a sight to see!
This versatile sculpture was completed with a silver bay coat that’s enhanced with dappling. Troubadour’s mane and tail have a subtle metallic sheen – much like real silver bays. He even sports one blue eye, which is a common occurrence in horses with splash patterns.
Whether Troubadour takes you out to work the ranch or to the show ring or, he’s a fine example of beauty meeting function. With his intelligent expression, eye-catching coat, and noble air, we have no doubt that this athletic stallion would be a dressage or driving standout!
Each Premier Collection exclusive model is a hand-painted work of art, and no two are ever precisely the same.
