Exclusively for Breyer Collector Club members! Breyer test run models are initial decos painted up to see how a particular color might look on a particular sculpture. Or they may be created to test out a painting technique or new colorway. Not all test run models are used, and they may vary over time as different painting techniques are developed and tested. Each model has a fixed price and interested members enter a random draw for the ability to purchase the test piece.
Desatado (mold #721) is a sculpture that debuted in 2012 as the very first release of the Breyer Premier Collection, loved by many Breyer fans for his dramatic rearing pose. Offered for sale is a unique test color dreamed up by the Breyer painting team! This fellow features a striking buckskin roan appaloosa coat accented with soft splatter details, mottling, blue eyes, and even hand-painted horseshoes.
This test run model is in excellent condition overall – tiny blemishes may be present due to the handcrafted nature of this piece. See gallery for details. This model is priced at $1,200 and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
