Hwin | Retired

In 2012, eventing competitor and trainer Elisa Wallace entered a Mustang Makeover competition on a whim at the encouragement of a friend. Elisa won the competition and purchased her mustang, and she was hooked! Elisa continued training mustangs and entering competitions. In January 2015 she participated in the Magic Makeover where she was paired with a mustang mare she named Hwin, and they placed 4th. Although she wasn't planning on purchasing her, their bond and Hwin's knack for eventing after only 6 weeks of training sealed the deal.

Since then, the pair have been working tirelessly - both as mustang ambassadors, and training in three-day eventing. Currently competing at Preliminary level, Elisa is excited to see how far she and Hwin can go, and aspires to compete a mustang at Advanced level one day. Why mustangs? Elisa says it best: "They are intelligent, strong, and athletic, with a huge heart. Those are your main ingredients that make a wonderful event horse."
