Liopleurodon | Retired

The Liopleurodon was a carnivore from the Upper Jurassic Period. It had a huge head with interlocking teeth and nostrils capable of sensing prey many miles away. Its four, strong, paddle-like limbs suggest that the Liopleurodon was a powerful swimmer. It is estimated that the largest species was to have grown up to 21 ft in length.

This dinosaur's name means Smooth-sided Tooth.
