Ornithoscheirus | Retired

Ornithocheirus had a long narrow beak equipped with teeth designed for catching fish. Its name means bird-hand. They lived during the cretaceous period and were known to be carnivores.

The Ornithocheirus is thought to be related to the pterosaurs. Unlike the pterosaurs,  the teeth of Ornithocheirus were mostly vertical, rather than set at an outward-pointing angle. It was believed that Ornithocheirus' wingspan likely measured 15 to 20 feet, which would make it a medium-sized pterosaur.

Measures 8.3"L x 3.0"H.
