Amazing Blog Readers –
Our thoughts and concerns continue to be with those on the front lines of the COVID-19 crisis. Most important is the health and well-being of everyone involved, from our internal staff and volunteers to all of you in the Breyer community.
In order to preserve everyone’s safety and deliver a BreyerFest as complete and fulfilling as possible, we have decided to shift BreyerFest 2020 Celtic Fling to an online experience, still taking place July 10-12, 2020. By making this decision now, we can deliver interactions with the Breyer community, access to special runs, fun BreyerFest merchandise, limited edition models for ticket holders, craft and activity workshops, live interviews, and more.
We are heart-broken not to be gathering in Kentucky this summer with you, our amazing fans, but we feel this is the safest option for all involved. We are working urgently on plans for this virtual BreyerFest experience and hope to share what we know as soon as possible, no later than the end of this month.
We understand that you have lots of questions. However, we would request that you give us until the end of the month to publish a complete update, which will answer many, if not all, of them. As this is an evolving situation, we may not have worked out the details of all of the aspects of the event at this time, but are actively striving to do so. We appreciate your patience. We will share updates via email, on the website, here on the blog, and on our social media accounts.
Thank you for your patience and we look forward to updating everyone soon.
Gratefully,
Jaime, Kathryn, Jocelyn, Stephanie and the Entire Breyer Team

I was really sad to hear from my friend that its online. It was going to be my first BreyerFest 😔 But my mom and I are thankful that we don’t have to travel 20hours to KY and 20 back 😂 I hope to go next year :)

Hey quick question, How will the diorama contest work with Breyerfest online.
April 15, 2020
What a tough decision, but it the right one for everyone’s health and safety.
I’ve never been to BreyerFest for various reasons, so am excited to be able to participate from a distance. I hope you have plenty of models ready to ship. My wish list has been compiled and I’m saving up for a spending spree.

And also please do not use discord or anything because I’m not allowed to use that

Will there be the kids jump off thing still? I think that would be very fun to do a virtual one

I am kind of sad that BreyerFest 2020 is cancelled, although I am really happy that you guys have decided to make it virtual this year due to the COVID-19 crisis. I am happy that you all have decided to make it virtual because that means that people who can’t make it to BreyerFest in Kentucky will be able to do it this way, like me. I have never gone to BreyerFest but have purchased BreyerFest models second-hand. I talked to my mom about doing this virtual BreyerFest and there is a big chance I will be doing it. I am the only one in my family who is a die-hard Breyer collector so when I read about virtual BreyerFest on your Instagram page I was really happy. I do feel bad for the people who were going to BreyerFest for their first time as I know from other people who have gone in the past that BreyerFest is a great experience and I do hope to attend in the future. Then again, this way, everyone who wants to attend can attend and it seems as though it would be a bit easier. No, it wouldn’t be the same as BreyerFest at the Kentucky Horse Park, but it will still be fun and I’m excited to join this year! Stay safe and have a wonderful rest of your day/evening!

I’m so so sad to hear that we wouldn’t be going to Kentucky this year😢 But at least it will be online. I’m glad the Breyer community is doing this for everyone’s safety and health. All the models and horses I was hoping to see and buy will still come into my Breyer family and heart thankfully☺️ I’ll miss the experience this year but I’m very thankful again for the wonderful Breyer community for the opportunity, allowing us still to get Special runs and all those fantastic models. They have been working very hard with making this very difficult decision. We all hope for the best and I just want to say I will miss all the joy and excitement but I’m happy I will still have the online experience😁

i have been to every breyerfest and will miss going. But my horsie/breyerfesy friends are coming to my house and have a ‘mini’ breyerfest with a cookout getogether. glad we can at least do that and get our models.

Thanks so much Jaime and Stephanie for the heart felt video. I am trying to stay as excited about a virtual BreyerFest, and I am usually a very optimistic individual, but I have to be truthful in that there really will be no comparison to in person BreyerFest. My ultimate favorite thing, next to seeing all my friends, is going to the barn behind the covered arena and visiting with the horses and the owners and handlers and talking with them.
My husband is going to be so unforgiving about the time I’ll be in front of the computer that weekend too, ugh

Actually, in a way this is fantastic! Instead of my whole family having to buy tickets, I can buy just one for myself, while still enjoying an online BreyerFest and getting the models I want! Despite the circumstances, I’m thrilled. Good decisions Breyer, this was a wise move, and a good idea!

When doing virtual BreyerFest, please announce ahead of time what apps will be necessary to access the event, and that both IPad and other users can use them. That will smooth things out a lot.

This would have been my 4th and final BreyerFest. I’m too old to make this trip from Oregon again. I am excited to see how the virtual lines will work for the SR’s but even more interested in how the Breyer Store and pop up tents will work. I really really want to get into the store for the specials that they have already shown us! Kudos to you Breyer for under-taking this massive project! It is exciting and daunting all at the same time. Good Luck to everyone! see you in Virtual Land!

You made the right choice. Kudos to the staff for what lies ahead of you!
April 13, 2020
This was going to be my last BF trip. My husband was taking me and we have planned on a trip of a life time. Guess like everyone else we won’t get to do anything. Virtual sounds good, just hope they get it worked out so the tent lines run fairly.

Super sad to hear this since this was gonna be my first, and last, Breyerfest, (I live in PA), but I really appreciate the fact that it has not been postponed to when I can’t go. I will definitely miss seeing Ricky and the other fantastic equines. :‘( I’m so sorry to all you other Breyerfest rookies who are now unable to go on vacation. Please remember, we are all in this together, and the Breyer staff are giving us their all. Please be understanding to these amazing people. Thank you Breyer staff!! You are my heroes!!April 13, 2020
What a terrible disappointment! I do understand, but Breyerfest was my light at the end of the tunnel! Every time I started to get shack wacky I thought Breyerfest will be there for me! The last Breyerfest that I missed was back in 1991 when I had broken my ankle at work!!!
April 13, 2020
Kudos to you Breyer! What a monumental undertaking. I know you will make it great for us! Thank you!!!!!
April 13, 2020
I have to agree with ReevesBreyer that this may be the best course of action; however, all those at Reeves involved in trying to wade through the nightmare of distributing special run models have my deepest sympathies!
April 13, 2020
What ticket would I need to be able to get the sham mold. Offered at breyerfest
Thanks

You guys should use Discord to host an online Breyerfest! It would be a lot of fun and if you know how to moderate things it would go wonderfully. Or you could get volunteers who know Discord to help. I’m head mod on a few servers and things are tons of fun there. I’d totally recommend!

I’m very sad to hear about this, of course, but I confess I’m also desperately curious as to the logistics of holding a virtual BreyerFest. Just the thought of doing it amazes me. At some point after BreyerFest, would you consider doing a behind-the-scenes overview/tour, and showing how you identified solutions to problems, how you implemented them, and what the results were? Thanks for everything you guys do, and see you in 2021!
April 13, 2020
Thank you for everything Breyer. I hope y’all can make everything work for the Virtual BreyerFest🤞
April 13, 2020
Thank you for putting safety first. I know it was a difficult decision… but it is absolutely the right decision. I know you will plan an AMAZING virtual event for us (minus all the sweat).
April 13, 2020
will it be free?
April 13, 2020
Curious to see how this will work, but will still miss going to Kentucky… Oh well, hopefully we’ll get there in 2021!
Best wishes to everyone at Breyer as well as my fellow Breyer lovers!

I kind of like the sound of a virtual BreyerFest oddly enough. It’ll stink to miss out on seeing the real horses, but that’s okay. Thank you for everything your team does for us.

Hi my first Breyer fest
