BreyerMidwest Guest Artist – Christine Jordan!

BreyerMidwest is excited to be hosting Christine Jordan, the artist behind some of our favorite Halloween decorator models!

 Christine will be joining us at the artist tables all day on Saturday, January 24, 2026 to talk about her work for the Breyer brand, her own art, and how she got into the world of model horses.  So, if you’ll be joining us at BreyerMidwest this winter, come ready with your questions for Christine! 

 In her own words, “I have loved horses for as long as I can remember and have been collecting Breyers for decades now. I have always enjoyed drawing horses, and for a while I had a whole series of horses with patterns that were made up of different things, so it should come as no surprise that I fell in love with the original Halloween horses designed with cleverly concealed images in patterns.”  This inspired her to create some of her own fun Halloween designs!

 Over the years, Christine has created the designs for Salem, Ratsputin, Eeek!, and Tabitha in Freedom Series scale and was the designer for Apparition and this year’s incredible Arachne in Traditional Scale.  Many of these spooky models have cleverly-concealed shapes hidden amongst their various pinto patterns – can you spot them all?

 In addition to designing patterns for spooky Halloween models, Christine is also skilled in the creation of flat art and digital art, as well as painting model horses in both realistic and fantasy colors. Because her day job is training horses, she doesn’t have as much time to dedicate to art she would like.

 At BreyerMidwest, Christine will have examples of many of the Breyer models she has created over the years as well as the initial sketch concepts for some of them. In addition, she will be showcasing her own art at her table in Saturday evening’s BreyerMidwest combination Artisans’ Gallery at Swap Meet, also taking place in the Sunflower Ballroom of the Maner Conference Center at the Hotel Topeka, from 7 to 10 pm.
