Breyer Test Run Auctioned for Ukraine Relief

At Reeves International, our hearts go out to all those affected by the war in Ukraine that continues to unfold. We all long for the day that the people of Ukraine can enjoy a sense of peace in their own country again. To honor that, we auctioned off a unique test run Breyer model featuring a beautiful blue colorway in honor of the Ukranian flag – for Ukranians, its blue stripe is thought to signify the bright clear blue sky and cool, meandering streams of the Ukrainian landscape.

Reeves has matched this piece’s final auction price dollar-for-dollar for a total donation of $22,800 to Ukrainian relief! This donation will be split evenly between World Central Kitchen, Heart to Heart International, and Americares - three charitable organizations that are providing critical food, medication and aid throughout Ukraine and eastern Europe.

This particular test run model was inspired by the 2019 Collector Club release “Lancelot.” Breyer’s New Jersey studio artists painted Emerson, our stately standing Thoroughbred, as a shimmering electric blue with pearl basecoat, blaze, four socks, and a gloss finish specifically for this charity auction.
