The 2021 Equine Industry Vision Award Goes to Breyer!

Breyer is humbled and honored to be the recipient of the 20^th Annual Equine Industry Vision Award! The award was officially presented on September 17, 2021 at the AHP Equine Media Conference in Irving, TX. We were all abuzz after finding out we were nominated back in May, and to be the recipient of such a prestigious award is an important chapter in Breyer history.

The Equine Industry Vision Award is sponsored by Zoetis and presented by American Horse Publications, a non-profit professional membership association that promotes excellence in equine media. Each year, it is awarded one lucky recipient who “[goes] above and beyond in service, leadership, ingenuity, and innovation within the equine industry.”

Joycalyn Winiger, Associate Director, Major Accounts, US Equine for sponsor Zoetis presented the award to Breyer’s VP of Marketing, Stephanie Macejko on Friday morning. As she did so, she offered a beautiful statement on the staying power of Breyer models. “Zoetis is proud to recognize Breyer for their passion, dedication and commitment to continuously connect people of all ages with horses. The equine industry is like no other, everyone truly cares about the horse and the sustainment of our industry.  From their corporate belief that 'horses are good for people' – especially children – Breyer’s 70+ year commitment is the epitome of a visionary equine industry leader.”

Upon receiving the award, Stephanie shared her own story of how Breyer models led her to a career in the equine industry – she ended up right at the source of her original inspiration! “As one of those little girls whose own passion for horses was first realized and inspired through a Breyer model horse, today’s Equine Industry Vision Award is one with profound personal and professional significance. I’m a real-life example how a Breyer model horse can welcome newcomers to the horse industry and inspire a career path and experiences in the equine world beyond their wildest dreams. I am honored to accept this award today on behalf of Breyer, a company committed to visioning the horse world in timeless ways as we engage new generations and old.”

On Saturday evening, Breyer also provided the centerpieces for the annual Equine Media Awards Dinner and Presentations, dressing each table up with beautiful Breyer models. During this ceremony, Breyer's annual magazine, Just About Horses, was also awarded a 1st prize in Business Equine-Related Custom Publication (Print)! This was a fantastic way to round out an already-memorable weekend.
