The First Release in the 2018 Premier Collection
Now in its 6th year, Breyer's Premier Collection takes great pride in continuing to bring the discriminating collector the very best in new sculptures and Connoisseur-level painting by both new and beloved artists. The first release of 2018 takes the Collection to new heights!
Color, focus, and form - Bristol has it all! A colorful Dutch Warmblood gelding, Bristol is captured in perfectly-balanced flight over a jump. With his legs neatly tucked, ears pricked, and a focused look in his eye, he could be cinching his spot in the finals! A hunter or show jumping rider's dream, Bristol is both refined and strong.
Bristol was both sculpted and decorated by artist Morgen Kilbourn. Morgen is well-known for her talent in capturing a horse's energy and presence in sculpture. Her other works for Breyer include the dynamic pieces Wyatt and Bobby Jo. A lifelong artist and horse lover, Morgen is a full-time professional artist who is wholly devoted to her craft. When asked about the challenges of creating a jumping sculpture, she shared, "The ideal for any discipline can look stiff and static from many angles, so I love trying to find ways to impart action and energy in a sculpture while still being technically correct for the discipline."
To complement her exciting sculpture, she gave Bristol a flashy tobiano buckskin coat featuring realistic dappling, intricate cat tracking, and rich shading. He also has mapped markings, detailed eyes, and striped hooves with painted on horseshoes. Bristol comes with a removable stand.
Each Premier Collection exclusive model is a hand-painted work of art, and no two are ever precisely the same.
